If I’m honest with myself, I wear a wrist watch for aesthetic appeal. If I want to know what time it is I generally look on my computer screen or glance at my phone. A friend of mine recently pointed out the other day how generally uncommon it is to find people using a device that does one thing only. In a world filled with multi-tasking, instantaneity (it’s a word), and getting more “bang for your buck” it is uncommon to find products that do one thing and do one thing well. Of course, there is a market for multipurpose devices, but I tend to have greater respect for the item, person, or brand that has singular focus.
What is more profitable, giving 100% of your attention to one task or giving a small percentage of attention to many tasks?
